His Majesty King Vajiralongkorn of Thailand with members of the Royal Family attended the Royal Funeral Service marked 1st Anniversary of Passing for the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej on 14 October 2017 at Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall in the Grand Palace Bangkok, Kingdom of Thailand.

การปิดทองหลังพระนั้น เมื่อถึงคราวจำเป็นก็ต้องปิด ว่าที่จริงแล้วคนโดยมาก ไม่ค่อยชอบปิดทองหลังพระกันนัก เพราะนึกว่าไม่มีใครเห็น แต่ถ้าทุกคนพากันปิดทองแต่ข้างหน้า ไม่มีใครปิดทองหลังพระเลย พระจะเป็นพระที่งามบริบูรณ์ไม่ได้ พระบรมราโชวาทของ พระบาทสมเด็จ พระเจ้าอยู่หัว ในพิธีพระราชทานปริญญาบัตรของ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัยวันที่ ๒๕ กรกฎาคม ๒๕๐๖

(Karn Phid Thong Lang Pra) how different people attached the gold leaf behind the Buddha image, the meaning of Thai proverb expressed that unique people want to do good things but don't want others to know. Actually, not many people want to do good things without recognition. From his opinion, If no one wants to attach gold leaf on the back of Buddha image, the beauty of Buddha image will be imperfect
